Our paper mill in Gmund am Tegernsee is only 20 minutes away from the A8 motorway. Please note that there are only limited parking facilities on site. Please use public transport if possible. Here you will find a brief description of how to find us.

From Munich

Take the A8 motorway in the direction of Salzburg and take the Holzkirchen exit.

Take the Holzkirchen exit and follow the B318 towards Tegernsee/Gmund am Tegernsee. After about 20 kilometres you will reach Gmund am Tegernsee. At the crossroads at the foot of the Gmunder Berg, turn left into Mangfallstraße.

The Gmund paper mill and the Gmund Papiershop are about 550 metres further along on the left-hand side.

The journey from Munich takes about an hour.

From Salzburg

Take the A8 motorway in the direction of Munich and take the Irschenberg exit.

Take the Irschenberg exit and follow the B472 towards Miesbach. In Miesbach, turn onto the B472 in the direction of Bad Tölz/Tegernsee. After 4.8 km, turn left towards Festenbach. Follow Miesbacher Str. until you reach Dürnbach. There, turn left again at the traffic lights onto Münchner Str./B318. Follow this road to the foot of the Gmunder Berg. Turn left at the crossroads into Mangfallstraße.

The Gmund paper mill and the Gmund Papiershop are located on the left-hand side after about 550 metres.

The journey from Salzburg takes about one hour and 15 minutes.

Car parking facilities

There are a few car parks directly opposite our Gmund Papiershop, which are ideal for a short visit to the shop. However, if you would like to take a longer stroll through the paper shop, have booked a factory tour or would like to eat in the Mangfallblau factory restaurant after your visit to the shop, please use the larger car park, which is about 200 metres behind the factory premises.

Public transport

Our paper mill is easily accessible by public transport. Travel to us in a stress-free and environmentally friendly way.

From Munich Central Station, take the BRB RB57 in the direction of Tegernsee. After about an hour you will reach the station ‘Gmund am Tegernsee’. From there, walk about 800 metres: Walk east, cross the junction after about 350 metres and follow Mangfallstraße until you reach our factory.

Aircraft

You can easily reach us from Munich Airport either by car or by public transport.

By car

Leave Munich Airport heading east and take the A99 motorway towards Salzburg.

After about 19 kilometres, take one of the lanes on the right and follow the junction to the A8. Take the A8 motorway to the Holzkirchen exit and then follow the B318 towards Tegernsee/Gmund am Tegernsee. After around 20 kilometres you will reach Gmund am Tegernsee. At the crossroads at the foot of the Gmunder Berg, turn left into Mangfallstraße.

The Gmund paper mill and the Gmund Papiershop are about 550 metres down the road on the left-hand side.

The journey from Munich takes approximately one hour and 15 minutes.

By train

Take the S1 towards Leuchtenbergring or the S8 towards Herrsching and get off at Donnersbergerbrücke. Change there to the BRB RB57 in the direction of Tegernsee. After about an hour you will reach the station ‘Gmund am Tegernsee’. From there it is about 800 metres on foot: Walk east, cross the junction after about 350 metres and follow Mangfallstraße to our factory.

The journey takes about 2 hours under normal circumstances.

As soon as you have reached our factory premises, please drive around the building once and then manoeuvre in front of the loading ramp.

From Munich
