The Gmund paper mill has been located in a valley on the Mangfall, not far from Lake Tegernsee, since 1829. In the old tradition, with the highest precision and in harmony with nature, Gmund Papier is today the most modern design paper mill in Europe. Visit us and experience our passion for paper.
Our public factory tour
The Gmund Tourist Information Centre offers a public factory tour at Gmund Papier every second and fourth Friday of the month at 1 pm. Paper fans from near and far meet here to take a look behind the scenes.
Duration: 90 minutes

Lifestyle from the paper machine – in our Gmund paper shop you will find everything your paper heart desires. You can also get advice from our competent staff on all questions relating to our customised printing service.
As a participant in the factory tour, you will receive a 10% discount on your purchase on this day.

Mangfallblau factory restaurant
The world’s first restaurant inside a paper factory. The exposed ceiling pipes and partially unplastered walls of the former pulp warehouse give the restaurant its unrivalled industrial chic. In Mangfallblau, nature meets factory flair and forms an inspiring unity.

The Mangfallblau is launching a new concept and is looking forward to welcoming you with a varied breakfast and lunch menu. The Mangfallblau team focuses on seasonal and regional ingredients and offers new surprises on the daily menu.
