The quest for forward-looking solutions and the ongoing development of our own know-how are key factors in the success of the Gmund paper manufacturer. In January 2022, the company accordingly invested in expanding its production capacity. With the acquisition of the Cartonnerie Jean FG paper mill, Gmund secured additional capacity for the production of ecological cardboard varieties based on 100 per cent recycled fibres. The newly acquired mill’s location in the heart of France reflects the activities of our modern industrial company. With 75 per cent exports, an international sales team and trade fair activities around the globe, Gmund Paper Mill is not only present on the important French market: Our goals are to expand into new sales markets worldwide and to reach new target groups and potential customers.
Cartonnerie Jean FG operates two paper machines and boasts exceptionally environmentally friendly production. Its own pulp preparation (including a water recycling plant), coupled with many years of experience in the field of coloured recycled papers, make Cartonnerie Jean FG an ideal partner for the production of Gmund papers.
The papers manufactured in France belong to the Les Naturals collection. These products are characterised by their environmental friendliness and outstanding quality. Consisting of 100 per cent post-consumer recycled content from the region, the products are distinguished by the impressive look and feel of their surfaces. The natural and open texture has irregular inclusions that emphasise the uniqueness and naturalness of each sheet. The solid-coloured papers are not laminated, bleached or additionally coated – a clear commitment to sustainability. Through the rustic appearance of these products, a company can communicate its ecological values and environmental commitment to its end consumers. The material is equally well suited for the production of packaging, for customised products in the communication sector, for mailing campaigns to advertise natural products and for communication on the topic of the environment.
